Crawfordsville, Nov 8 – Mrs. Cora Lowe, 68, lifelong resident of Fountain County died yesterday at the home of her son, George Lowe, at the edge of Crawfordsville where she suffered a heart attack after leaving Culver Hospital where she was a patient several days. She was the widow of Albert Lowe, who died in 1937. Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lena Flory of Newtown. – kbz

Obituaries 1940s "C" - Fountain Co Genealogy Society -- Mrs. Cora LOWE, 6 8, lifelong resident of Fountain Co, died Monday morning Nov 7 at 10:30 following a heart attack at the country home of her son, George Lowe of Crawfordsville.  Mrs. Lowe made her home with her youngest son Mr. and Mrs. John W. Lowe of Hillsboro but entered Culver Hospital, Crawfordsville, a few weeks ago as a medical patient.  On being dismissed from the hospital she went to the home of her son George for a short visit.  She apparently was feeling as well as she had been until she suffered the attack that caused her death.  Mrs. Lowe had been in declining health for the past few years.  Born in Parke County south of Wallace on Aug 20, 1881 she was the daughter of Joseph B. and Elmira Thomas.  She was married to Albert Lowe who preceded her in death in 1937.  Mrs. Lowe attended the Wolf Creek Baptist Church near Wallace.  Survivors include besides the son, John in Hillsboro and the son George in Crawfordsville two other sons Morris of Hillsboro and Les lie of Brigham City, Utah.  A daughter, Mrs. Lena Flory, Newtown, also survives and there are 4 grandchildren.  She also leaves two brothers, Earl Thomas of Gary & JB Thomas, Jr. of near Wallace.  Funeral services were held from Wolf Creek Church at 2 p.m. Wed with the Rev. Cornelius Airhart, New Market, officiating with burial in cemetery near the church. - kbz
